How Far Along: 24 Weeks
Total Weight Gain: 20 Pounds, but my last appointment I gained only 5 pounds :)
Sleep: I get a lot some nights, then I get very little other nights. I toss and turn a lot.
Gender: Oh it's my little Man! :)
Food Cravings: None this week. :D Which is Great!
Labor Signs: Nope, I have had some cramping, but doctor said not to worry unless it's more then 6 in an hour. If I cramp, get off my feet, drink water and take deep breaths :) But I haven't had anything really bad. :)
Belly button: Innie! :) I hope it stays that way since i still have a small tummy. :D
Best Moment this week: Feeling more and more movement. Matthew feeling my belly to see if he can feel him move, and Matthew talking to him in silly ways. It's so cute! I love it.
What are you looking forward to this week? I would have to say, I'm hoping Matthew gets to feel him move on the outside this week. That would just be awesome for him to feel that. Since everyone is different, and I did start out heavier then my friends I'm not going to let it bug me that they can feel their baby on the outside. But if Matthew could feel Elijah move on the outside, it would make my week.
What do you miss the Most? I would have to say not having back pain, and my hands not being so swollen. I haven't been able to wear my wedding rings in almost a week now, and it breaks my heart. I've been in flip flops so if my feet are swollen I wouldn't really know.
Weekly Wisdom: Talk to your baby, rub your tummy as much as you can, and have a soda once a week. :) Let your baby know you love him/her. Let them hear you tell them at least 3 times a day, I do it more, but talk to your baby as often as you can. Do things that you can show your baby you did for them, write them a letter, write them a song, poem, make a blanket, hat, or little shoes. They will love and appreciate it when they are older more then you think.
This week has been pretty good. Matthew and I toured the hospital. I've been really emotional this week though. I've cried almost every signal day! I have to say it's all worth it. When I feel Elijah moving around, it makes me think he's so happy, and content with his life inside me. I've been trying to drink more and more water. Next week (Monday) I'm cutting out all the sweets. No more soda, which I haven't had a soda in almost a week anyways. But no more cookies, brownies, chips, nothing. I want to pass my glucose test so bad. I don't want to have to prick my finger, I wouldn't be able to. I don't want to take pills or give myself shots, once again I wouldn't be able too. So, Matthew is going to help me keep myself accountable, no more sweets. I don't think it will be too hard, but I could be wrong. I guess we will see. I'll be doing my glucose test sometime around 26 weeks. I'm so scared, which I always am when it comes to getting my blood drawn, I can't wait to get out of that, I make such a big deal, then it sometimes turns out to be the easiest thing ever. I'll just make sure Clayton is there. lol! Well I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.
Don't take the day for granted, for it could be your last.

Appointment update :)
I had my "24" week appointment today, and I learned a lot from it. Like my uterus is really high. I thought it was lower then it really is. I'm measuring at 25 weeks, although I'm only 23 weeks and 4 days, as of today. I've only gained 5 pounds in a month, which may not be good, but it's less then what I've been gaining. My next appointment will be my last 4 week appointment. After that one I'll get one every two weeks, which means I'm getting closer and closer. Getting excited!! My glucose test is coming up. She went ahead and gave me my lad sheet, so I can set up my own date. She said to wait til at least 26 weeks, so i might just go on my 26 week day..I've felt a little more movement then I used too, and my midwife told me it's still early, not to
stress out about it.
Matthew and I also toured the OB Floor at the hospital. It was only the second time we've been in the hospital. It was really small, and cute, but the thing that got me was how small it was. The laboring tubs looked really nice though. The staff was really nice and was happy to give me the tour. Matthew liked it, and said, well it's small because they are here to do there job, and that's it. They get a lot of military, but of course they do, this town is mostly military. But, we are going to go to the next big town over for our birthing classes, they are free, and I've heard they do a great job.
Well Matthew is working 5pm-5am this week and I don't think he already likes it. It's weird having him here during the day. But I'm not going to complain. He's talking to Elijah more, and still can't wait to feel him move. He's so excited for that. Matthew will also be setting up the crib, dresser, and changing table this week. I can't wait. Well that's all I can blog about tonight. I have a dinner date with two of my girlfriends.
Everyone have a great night, and enjoy your time with friends and family, you never know when it's the last time you get to see them.

Spa Day- Some thoughts I've had today
Yesterday some of my girls and I had a spa day. It was just great. I didn't think I would really enjoy other girls touching my feet, but it was pretty good. I really enjoyed it. Felt good to have a foot rub, and get my toes painted, and now they are soft and smell so good.
I've had a lot of thoughts lately on my pregnancy. Like how do I know if i Have enough amoebic fluid around the baby? How do I know if he's growing ok? How do I know if my due date is on track? Some of my friends have influenced these thoughts on me, but these are really good questions. I have no clue what size my baby is, and it's upsetting. I'm not getting stressed about this, yet, but if my midwife doesn't give me answers on Monday I will not be a very happy pregnant lady. I don't want to be one of those pregnant women who get worried about everything, but I do want to know my baby is safe in my belly, and that I'm doing everything in my power to keep him safe. I have been in a mood lately, and I will, if I have too get mean with her. I just want to make sure my son is going to be ok. I can't come out and pay over $200 for an ultrasound, when the insurance should cover it. I know, I'm one in a million where the midwife refuses to order one. :/ Makes me sad, because the other girls I know get one, and don't have to pay for it. On to something else before I get really upset.
Well, Matthew will be starting to work 5pm-5am. It's not a big deal though, I have lots of girls that I can hang out with while he's at work, I try not to complain about it, because I'm sick of hearing other women complain about there husbands jobs, or the Air Force in general. We, as wives can't do anything about what hours they work, or when they get home, so why complain? I just try to take it as it comes, and settle with what they give me. Which is a roof over my head, money to buy food, and insurance that is good enough for me.
I used to be such a negative person, but I'm glad I'm more positive, and that I try not to complain about little things. I try to look at life and take it one day at a time. If you are more positive about things, you might start to like your life more.
Forgive me if I seem to be getting on your nerves, but I'm just in a mood today. I'm sick of hearing people complain. Yes I have things I complain about, but the Air Force is not on the list at all. I think us, as wives, should be thankful our husbands even have jobs. Look at the unemployment rate in your state, city, or even the country. It's sad! Ok, I'm done with that rant.
I've been pretty blessed lately. People have been getting things off my registry, and things that aren't even on my registry. I've been meaning to take pictures, and show them all off, but I keep forgetting. Well I think I'm going to watch some t.v and eat a grilled cheese. They are so yummy, you should try one. :)
Have a great day! :-D

Your Hands
Last nights dream keeps replaying in my mind and it will not go away. I dreamt someone was going to kill Matthew, and I screamed out to him, but he couldn't hear me, I woke up all scared and not happy, I had to reach for him and see if he was still there with me, and he could tell I was scared and asked me what was wrong, so I told him. It took me forever to go back to sleep... but it's just a dream, it's not real.
Today I went to Columbia with some friends today, I have to say it was a fun trip, talked 99% of the way, and ate some wonderful potato soup! I tell you, it was the best I've ever had. Also, I had some wonderful girl time with my girls Melody and Samantha, and of course Samantha's sweet little girl Madelyn. I think we all needed the time to get out of the house and have some girl time! Then later this week me and the same girls, maybe some more are going to get together and go to the pool! I can't wait, I haven't been swimming in like two weeks now, I miss it.
Elijah is moving around so much lately. Earlier when I was in the bath tub relaxing and taking my bath, I saw my stomach moving like crazy, and I got so excited, because that means Matthew will be able to feel it soon. He's been so ready to feel his son moving around. Every night he puts his hand on my stomach and wants to feel it so bad. The first night he did it, he moved it around like every ten seconds, finally I looked up at him and asked him, "what are you doing?" "Trying to feel him move around.", Matthew responded. I was like oh, ok! And so, he's just really ready to feel it. It will make him so happy.
My friend Melody here at Whiteman has started her own blog for photography. I would love for everyone to check it out. She's looking to start a slide show on her blog and, wanting to make it look more professional, although I think it looks great the way she has it, but it's her business and I'm sure she wants it to be just perfect. Melody is a great friend of mine, like a sister. I will do almost anything for her, except jump off a bridge. She's been doing my pregnancy photos every month, and she does a lovely job with it. I couldn't ask for any one better! I'm glad she's my friend and God has blessed me with her as a friend. She has a love for Christ, and love for her own family and friends that you don't find very often in people. She would give you the shirt off her back if you really needed it. The point I'm trying to get across is, God has truly blessed me with someone that I can confide in, someone I can run to, someone that is a sister to me, since my step sister never really had/has anything to do with me. I may not have blood family here, but I have Melody! Oh here's her blog so you can check it out! Pics By Melody
Well, the title of this blog is Your Hands By Heller, I'm in love with his song, and I'm going to post a link to it and hope you all check it out. But other then all of this, I'm running out of things to say. Your Hands
