27 Weeks!!!

Well I know I haven't been blogging as much as I did in the beginning of my pregnancy, and I'm sorry. Things come up, I want to try to clean, spend time with my pumpkin and my husband and sleep at night these days. But I'm in the car on my way back to home-Missouri, so I have time to blog now.

I am 27 weeks pregnant with a very active baby! I still do not want to announce the name, and we're still not even convinced its a boy, only because of recent events, but we aren't calling the baby a girl either. We are saying Baby G until the baby makes an appearance into this world. But we will continue to buy as if we were buying for a boy. If he turns out to be a she we will fix that problem when the time comes.

Well I haven't weighed myself recently, so I have no clue how much weight I've gained. If I had to guess, I'd say 13-14 pounds. We'll see if that right in the morning.
I don't sleep really good anymore, but that could be because I left my pregnancy pillow in Ga, hopefully it will get to me soon.
I don't foresee us getting anymore ultrasounds unless something happens.
I have to get my glucose test done soon, I'll have to let someone watch Elijah and take someone with me to hold my hand because I'm a big baby.
No swelling so far! My hands will swell when it's really hot outside but they do that when I'm not pregnant. So that's normal. My feet have only swell if I haven't had enough water or I'm doing too much around the house.
I can't fit into non maternity shirts any longer. Thankfully I got my old shirts back from my sister in law! I can't wait to get them home, washed and be able to wear them!
Baby G is super active! One day I thought he/she had like 4 arms and 4 legs because of how active baby was!
I try to avoid salty foods, sugary foods but I love fruits, and caffeine free root beer and orange sunkist. My also biggest want this pregnancy has been ice cream! Also, my favorite kind of gum is Big Red! It's amazingly delicious!
Tums has been my best friend lately. I wake up in the wee hours of night with acid in my throat, or I can smell something that's cooking or something Matthew is drinking and acid hits me! I can drink water and it hits! I hate it!
While we were gone to Georgia and Virginia, I did some walking and enjoyed it, so I told Matthew I'd like to start walking in Knob State Park on weekends. That way Elijah can play, walk and we can have family time! And maybe it will help with labor-we can only hope!

I am still in the process of doing Baby G's letters, and the boy name we have picked out is what I'm doing.
We only need a few more items and I'll feel prepared. Such as a starter bottle kit from Breast Flow, diaper bag(the only I got at the shower in Ga isn't big enough so I returned it and I will be ordering a bigger one with a gift card) pack n play, newborn clothes(just in case baby G is small enough for them) crib bed set and a dresser... Ok! The story behind the dresser. We plan on giving Baby G Elijah's old dresser, because it matches the crib. Then we want to get a dresser for Elijah. Now we do have an extra dresser that will probably go in Elijah's room until we can afford a newer one, so that's not a big issue.
I can't wait until my next appointment! I am scared of getting gestational diabetes, but praying against it. After my next appointment I'll have an every two weeks!! Which scares me because if means its so close!

Now, arrangements for when I'm labor goes as following. Elijah is probably going to Amanda Kamufs house, or a church member. I hope whoever takes him can take him until out of the hospital. My mom has plans of coming up in September, but we still aren't 100% on those plans. Matthews parents as of now has no plans that I'm aware of to come up to visit or to help afterwards. Matthew gets 10 free days, and if no family comes I'm going to see if he can take extra leave for a few extra weeks. So Elijah can adjust I can try to adjust, and so Matthew can help. Thankfully Matthew loves capturing moments on camera and will probably always have a set of batteries charging!

Well this is all for now! We are still on the road, and have about an hour and 50 minutes left! Pray for safe travels for us, and a good nights rest for all of us! Matthew goes back to work at 0700!

Stressful thoughts about our trip

Well we came to Georgia on no money. We were blessed that our trip has been paid for so far, but it's stressful at the same time. There are things and places I'd like to go and do with Matthew, like go to a baby consignment store, of go to supper and go bowling for my birthday, or get a mani and pedi for my birthday, that would be super nice!!
So many upsetting things have happened so far on our trip! Ive cried so many times so far it's not even funny! It's really crazy! I already don't like natural hormones but pregnancy hormones seem to be 10x worse this go around!!

Stress has definitely found its way to me. I've had an ongoing stress headache since we've gotten here. I am having problems with my kidneys and possibly a uti, but I'm really trying to treat if without going in. Who wants to go to the hospital while visiting family, now like I've told family and a few friends if the pain worsens or symptoms get worse I will go in. I'm not going to put myself or my unborn child in danger by any means.

Elijah is enjoying spending time with his grandparents that's for sure! He has a cousin who's ten months younger than him that he loves playing with!! His cousin isn't walking yet, so when he crawls to him Elijah thinks he's going to get him and runs away and laughs!! It's so cute to watch them play! Tonight he gave his cousin a hug and kiss goodbye. It was adorable!

Baby G is still very active, so that's always a good sign, and mommy us drinking tons of water! So trust me I'm getting fluids. I might have horrible headaches but at least I know they aren't dehydration headaches. :) just caused by hormones and stress. I could use a good massage and quite time, that's for sure!

Well this is all for now. I'm going to lay here beside hubby and drift to sleep while baby G rolls around in my belly :)

24 weeks pregnant with a sweet bouncy baby boy

How far along are you? 24 weeks

How much weight have you gained? 10 pounds exactly! I weighed myself this morning and only ten pounds!!

How is sleeping? Sleep is fine :) I toss sometimes, but usually I still can sleep on one side for a few hours and then turn to another side, and I don't wake up to hurting hips yet. :) so haven't hit the uncomfortable stage yet.

Belly button? Still an innie :)

Gender? Happy kicking and poking out baby boy :)

Weekly wisdom? Even on lazy days make sure you drink enough fluids. I think I've had a headache all day bc of dehydration and it just hit me about dehydration bc I just noticed I'm still on my second cup of half tea half water.

Weekly Milestone? Well watering down my sweet tea is a milestone for me! Matthew suggested me watering down my cranberry juice, sweet tea, Gatorade, ect to get more water into my system, and it doesn't taste bad at all! :))

Mood swings? I have my moments when things tick me off. When that happens I have to stay away/off of Facebook. It's like why do you say that? What are you thinking? Are you stupid? But once I talk to a friend about it I feel better :)

Fears? Yes, a few fears! I have a fear of having to go to the hospital while we are home, or on the way home. Fear of being induced. I'm scared that my mom won't be able to come after he's born and I'll have to relay on friends to help with Elijah. I'm scared if having another long labor. I fear going into labor before 37 weeks. I have a list of fears.

No 24 week picture as of yet. Matthew was going to take it but some things have come up and he hasn't taken it yet. Baby G's name will be reviled at my Ga baby shower, then still a secret until my project gets done.
We are getting ready to leave. We leave in a week, and it's gotten to the stressful moments. Like the car has to be packed just right. We are taking Kodi with us, and not bringing her back, which is upsetting. We are relaying on other people to get us home. We've had TWO unexpected bills hit us. One is due the 21 of may and the second is due 12 June, both are over $100, and it's really upsetting. We aren't prepared for baby G at all. Haven't bought anything but diapers for him. :( it upsets me. I don't foresee me getting the crib bedding set I want, or the miracle blanket or moby wrap.

Ok enough about that. I hope y'all enjoyed this blog. I'm in a blah mood tonight and could just eat my feelings away. But I'm not sure I have any more room in my tummy for food :/

Makeup blog!!! A Lot of Info!!!

I would like to start out by saying I am sorry that I am behind on my posts! I am 3 weeks + behind, and a good friend once told me, "it's ok we are allowed to fall behind, we have kids ;)" I love that friend! She helps me get through my days! She knows who she is, so I don't have to say her name!

In these past 3 weeks, I've went from 20 weeks to 23 weeks, to feeling baby G move on the inside to feeling him and seeing him move on the outside, noticing his schedule, to eliminating stress in my my home, and telling myself we are so close to going home!

How far along are you? 23 Weeks!

How much weight have you gained?  Probably around 9-10 pounds! My appetite has picked up a lot these past few weeks. Our scale needs new batteries so I can't track my weight gain :/

Mood Swings?? Ehh... I get my loneliness, I get my sad times, and I get depressed some days, but thankfully I have friends that help me, and a wonderful husband who comes home from work and says,"go to bed and take a nap" Literally he told me that last week!!! And I tell ya, it was the best rest I got during the day in a long time!

Belly Button? Innie, will probably stay that way :-)

Sleeping? Well not so bad lately.. Not sure why, but I'm not complaining. He usually sleeps when I do!! Hoping it will stay that way! He is pretty different from Elijah, Elijah would party when it was time for me to sleep, G doesn't. He just sleeps! So I sleep pretty sound. I might wake up with a hip ache, or wake up on my back sometimes, but it's ok, it's all apart of being pregnant! :)

Gender?? Well it's a BOY! He is Bubba, and baby G for now! Yes we have a name, but aren't saying it just yet. I love his name! I love his middle name as well! :)))) I can't wait to say it to the world!

Weekly Wisdom? It's been three weeks, you'd think I'd have some advice, lets see, my advice is to stay far far away from stress, drink tons of water, eat healthy, and just enjoy being pregnant. No matter the complications, or how bad things can get, think of that sweet innocent life you are carrying and try to do the best for that little life!

Milestone this week? I would say just feeling him move on the outside! That is one big milestone! Every mom I know loves that feeling! Being able to put my hands on my belly and feeling his hiccups, or feeling him move around, kick, hit, poke, it's one of the best feelings! As I type this he's kicking me! haha!

Next appointment? May 15 at 3:15!! The day before we go to Ga! I was hoping Matthew could go with me, but he wont be able to unless I push the time up! Which is my plan!!! If not I'm going to see if a friend could go with me!

Just some general info on baby G: He can now feel me move, and can hear me talk. The dogs barking, Elijah's loud screaming, or happy loud laughs he can hear, daddy's voice he can hear! :) Weighing in at over a pound and more than 11 inches long, he is about the size of a large mango! Blood vessel's in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing.

I will be having to get a glucose test done sometime between 24 weeks and 28 weeks. I am scared that I wont pass my test! :/ I don't know why I'm scared, I think it's the fact that you are usually induced a week early if you have it, and I'm scared of being induced that early, since my body didn't react well to being induced with Elijah.......And we wont be back to Missouri until May 28 and I will be 26 weeks, which my midwife isn't too thrilled with. With the complications I've been having she's sending me with my records and possibly checking my cervix to make sure I'm not dilated, and possibly giving me a NST(non stress test) We are having to stop every hour and a half to every two hours, she wants us to stop every hour, and I'm having to drink plenty of water while we travel and try to keep my feet up. Which I plan on putting them on the cooler, which will be in front of my seat :)

Our future trip: We have snacks, and some caffeine free sodas for our trip, as long as I don't drink them before we go ;) so all we need to get is some bottle water. Elijah has a portable DVD player to keep him entertained, and we will take some toys, and some snacks for him as well. :) I'm excited to see how this trip goes! We have a baby shower the first Saturday we are home, which I get to see A LOT of my high school friends, family and I just know we will have a great time! The week after that is mine and my daddy's birthday! His is the 23rd mine is the 24th, we will celebrate it together, just like we used to when I was a kid, on his birthday, and then that Friday the  25th is possibly a rehearsal dinner, for the wedding that we are going home for, not sure how I fit into that, since I'm not in the wedding but Matthew is, then Saturday evening is the wedding, my parents really want to take Elijah that whole day and spend it with him, but I'm not sure how Matthew feels about that. I like the idea, that way we can spend a few hours alone, Matthew can get ready for the wedding, I can get ready, at the wedding I won't have a fussy baby boy, or a baby boy who doesn't want to sit still, then at the reception afterwards if we want to dance, or have some alone time we can dance or talk. The wedding doesn't start til 6!!!! :/ So that means the reception wont be til about 7ish, Elijah's bedtime is 8, and I don't see us leaving til sometime around 10! :/ Then we have to get up the next morning and hit the road! :/ Ugh! Seeing those times just makes me dread it! Oh, and I just remembered Matthew is in charge of the bachelor party!!! I'm also not looking forward to- the groom drinks, and we don't, and I have no clue what time or where or what they are doing that night, I do know that Matthew isn't taking him anywhere like a strip club! So glad to have a honest Christan husband!!! But I'm hoping the groom doesn't get wasted because that would mean Matthew would have to get him home, and take care of him and I'd be a signal mom! Ugh!!! Maybe I can talk my parents into Elijah spending the night with them Friday and Saturday night, as much as I would hate it, I don't want him around drinking and I've been told there will be drinking at the wedding. :/ I just don't know how Elijah would react to staying without mommy and daddy. ://// -sigh- oh so much thinking and talking to do!

Well how are the mommy and daddy doing? We are good. Things are taken a turn, and we are doing a lot better. Matthew saw something on the news at work one day last week about how a 6 second kiss makes a big difference when you leave for work in the mornings and come home from work in the evening, it makes you forget about what you are thinking about, and about how your day went, that's good if it was a bad day! lol! So we've been doing that. Trust me we get mad at one another but we still kiss each other and it does make things better. I was reading a great book and I've gotten,... lazy, busy, tired, too focused on cleaning and I need to start reading it again. It was helping and I was seeing a lot of good in Matthew. I was focusing on his good qualities and it was helping my attitude with him. I was ignoring all the bad. If you dawn on the bad, then you will lose focus on the good, and why you even got married. You don't want to lose that. I love my husband, God gave him to me for a reason, and we will work through what ever financial issues we come across, we will over come our fears together, we will make one another happy, raise our kids in a Godly house, we will over come our doubts, and communicate no matter what, and do it no matter how mad we are with each other. Yes when we are mad at one another we need to break apart and breath, and pray! Which I'm leaning it's pretty hard to turn to God during these times, I usually turn to a friend, but God is a much better outlet. He will always listen, never judge us, and will always have the perfect answer for us, in his timing which is much more important than ours!

-- well this is all for now! I will update with some photos :) but I am done. My butt is numb, and I'm tired of typing! I really hope you all enjoyed, and love to hear your feedback!

I am still in need of things for G, but I will tell only if you ask. :)
