A whole Year

My little Elijah Micheal is one year old. People say this means my baby is no longer a baby, but he will always be my baby. He's learned so much this year! It grisly amazes me how much babies learn in a year. His laugh is still the same, his smile us almost the same, the only difference is, now he has pearly whites! He still crawls, maybe 5% of the time, he mainly walks! He plays, claps, dances, talks. He's a stair climber, mommy and daddy lovin', big blue eyed, sleeping 12 hours all night, milk lovin', Mater lovin' tiny tot.
He has his own little red headed attitude. When he gets angry he throws his arms down, and then puts his hands out and growls. He knows no stranger. He loves everyone. He smiles at everyone, and would let everyone pick him up. He's very independent. He loves making messes. He also loves helping mommy clean. I'm not sure how he finds trash on the floor, but instead of eating it he brings it to mommy. He loves playing outside, and when we are outside he loves walking on the sidewalk. He loves going to church, he plays in the nursery through Sunday school and service, two hours, sometimes two and a half hours, he naps very well after church. He eats what mommy and daddy eat.

My little man, is now a little man. I'm so proud of him. Mommy and daddy work with him a lot on learning new things. Mommy and daddy wouldn't trade anything for our little pumpkin. He is our world. This year was just perfect, and now I'm so excited what next year brings for us!

Four years ago I was waiting to be married to my best friend, I always wanted to be married, but I never thought anyone saw me as a pretty enough kind of girl. Matthew started truck driving. It was something I never wanted in a husband, but it was short lived 07.
Three years ago, my sister in law Sarah, and her husband got married. They had a beautiful wedding. My husband stopped truck driving 08.
Two years ago I graduated from getting my GED, Matthew left for basic and graduated on Halloween. I moved to Texas while Matthew was in Tech school. I just couldn't bare to be away from him any longer. This was our Second Wedding anniversary09.
One year ago I found out on valentines day that I was pregnant, moved to Missouri in March, for our very first house in April, found out in June I was having a boy. In July my brother got married ot who know is my sister in law Nikki! I waited a week and two days after my due date for my pumpkin to come out. He experience his first Halloween, Road trip to Virgina, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years eve, 10.
This year, was Matthews second year in the Air Force, Elijah has gotten so many ear infections, I've lost count. Me and Elijah went home for Easter, I drove all alone, the whole way. Matthew finally was able to go home in Aug, the last time he was home was last Christmas.I've become close to a really good friend. She and her family are my family now. They are a home away from home . I've felt a lot prettier now, then I've ever felt in my life. And now Elijahs first birthday is coming up, my parents are coming up for the first time since we've been here. And mine and Matthews 4 year wedding anniversary is coming up 11!
Talk about each year getting more exciting! I can't wait to see what the next four years bring! I can totally see all the blessings God has poured in my life these past four years!
Now these photos are going to try to outline these past four years.

Being a Mom

I'm got a book today, and I'm going to share some of the quotes from the book on some upcoming blogs.

Being a mom means thinking you're the luckiest person in the world.

Being a mom means being a role model.

Being a mom means discussing with your husband how you want to raise your kids. Before you even have them.

Being a mom means being overprotective. It's something genetic.

Being a mom means passing down traditions.

Being a mom means having a life filled with Bittersweet moments-like the first day of preschool and high school graduation.

Being mom means serving as a personal assistant. Often to people shorter than four feet tall.

Being a mom means saying, "That's not nice".

Being a mom meandering teaching that every second of the day isn't supposed to be fun; that there are days when rooms have to be cleaned, dishes picked up, and laundry done.

Being a mom means making lists and schedules and posting them all around the house and on the refrigerator door.

Being a mom means keeping a flashlight handy for looking down throats.

And the last one for today...

Being a mom means knowing you have to respect yourself or else your child/ or children won't respect you.

I hope you all enjoyed this! Some will really like this, some of you won't even care, but for those of you who like these know they are all true.

How Great Is Our God

Today was a wonderful, no, great day! Had a great day ay church, took Ekko with us, she was great. Got an unexpected phone call from a friend that I'd been waiting to hear from. Talked to her, brought her home for lunch, along with some other friends, Cameron, a new guy from church, Jessica, Rebecca, Patrick, and Ekko, me, Matthew and Elijah. We had a great lunch! BBQ grilled chicken, green beans, corn, shells and cheese, and mashed potatos, I made sweet tea and Jessica brought apples. We all had a great lunch, talked, laughed, and played outside. My driveway was full of cars,,it was awesome!

Jessica spent the night last night. We watched gilmore girls and ate junk food! It was really fun. Then before then we had a bonfire at the church. Bobbie came with Jake, and we roasted marshmellows and made smores. Talked, and just had a great time. The bonfire is where I net Cameron. He helped Matthew put some hay bails in the car. Now, I have two hay bails on my porch!

Heather, which is the person who I got the unexpected phone call from, after eating, and getting Addie, wanted to work out, so I was up for it, since I've lost 7 pounds since last Saturday, but of course the gym was closed. So going to try again tomorrow. I got my tooth pulled on last Monday, and I've dropped weight like crazy. I haven't really been able to eat, but I haven't stopped eating either. But since I've seen that big of a drop I'm like let's go, I want to keep eating the way I am. I do, have to go back to the dentist tomorrow to get the stiches out. I've been a bad girl and haven't done my salt water rises. :( I've been scared, and I've forgot, I've had so much on my mind lately. Elijahs birthday is in 21 days and Im worried my parent or parents aren't going to be able to come since they haven't bought tickets yet. My mom keeps saying she's coming, and I believe her. I want my daddy here so bad. I won't be able to see him again until this coming May. But with my mom flying maybe it means she won't be scared to fly again and maybe she can come out again maybe in Feb or something.

Well, this is a pretty long update, and its mostly one days worth. I'm trying to blog more, and I hope I get into doing it more. Have a great night and great day tomorrow!
