6(ish) Weeks Pregnant :-)

Well since I am guessing I am about 6 weeks and 1 day Pregnant, I would do a pregnant update.
Since I am sensitive about my weight, I will not be sharing how much I started out at. But I will say, according to WIC I have gained 4 pounds, but I weighted myself the morning I went to wic and according to my scale I only had gained 1 pound. I have a morning routine. I get up, I go pee, I weigh myself and then take my vitamin! I like to keep track of my weight, because this pregnancy I don't want to gain 40 pounds. I would like to only gain about 20, if that. I am getting a treadmill, so maybe that will help me! I am not looking to lose weight, but I am already considered overweight, so I looking out for myself.

I am taking Flintstones vitamins, just like I did with Elijah. I can't swallow big pills, and if I had a pill cuter I would try the prenatal pills. I like the Flintstones vitamins, I can suck on them, and i get to prolong the wonderful flavor.
With this pregnancy I have noticed I hate the mornings. I don't get my energy until late late afternoon. one more reason I can't wait til my treadmill, because I will make myself do something, and once I start doing something I get energy. I've noticed things already growing in this pregnancy. It's so weird, and I'm sorry if this is TMI, but my boobs are already too big for my bras. So, once we get the money, we will be getting me bigger bras. They didn't get this big, this fast with Elijah. This time around I have a hard time sleeping at night already. I toss and turn all night. maybe that's why I'm so tired in the mornings. I can already feel the uterus on the very lower part of my belly! It's already hard! I love it! With things growing this fast it scares me that I might get so big with this one. If you all remember I didn't get big with Elijah until at least 6 months. Since I can already feel the uterus on the outside, and my boobs are so huge, it worries me that I will start showing at like 12 weeks, or maybe sooner... who knows, I guess we will find out when the time comes. I've take one picture of me at like 5.5 weeks, and I took like 5 pregnancy test to make complete sure I was pregnant. lol!!

Well I tried to get my pictures off my phone to show you my picture, but it wont come off my phone. I'll have to see if Matthew can get it off.

Well, I'm searching for a midwife or an OB doctor. I had the midwives with Elijah, and I might go back to them, but I think I am going to try a doctor in Lee's Summit. My friend Melody goes to this doctors office, and has nothing but great praise of them, she also has nothing but great praises about the hospital. I can't wait to check out the hospital. I just have to get my blood work done here at the clinic, and go from there. YUCK!! I am totally not looking forward to that. Well once I have more info, I'll update you all, or more pictures I'll show you!

I hope you enjoy following my pregnancy, because I love sharing what's going on! :)

New Discovery

Well like I said last night I would take a test this morning, and my test line was as bright as my control line, now one of my readers told me that the first day I get a positive that that IS my positive, and I don't ovulate for 3 days, the hormone is just in my body for 24 hours, but I've gotten 4 positive test now, and I find that strange, because this means it's been 96 hours since I got my first positive. Yes they are the line test, but I've had some many friends use these test and never had a problem with them. The smiley face test seem to be more expensive and I don't think I can get a whole month supply in one box, but I will look it up and if I can I will use those next month, if I don't end up pregnant this month.

I really appreciate the feed back that I do get from my blog especially my last one, because like I said I'm still learning my body, and if I can get other women's actual experience that helps too! Thank you, Shannon for helping me out!

I plan on doing some research on TTC, because I don't know much, and I am willing to learn. I may have one kid, but that didn't teach me anything on TTC, because we weren't per say trying, and I wasn't really tracking my ovulation, I was just ok, if it happens, if it doesn't, it's all good. From what I learn, I will pass the info on to my readers, with links and such!

I am sorry this is a short post, but I am tired and I need to sleep. I hope you all have a wonderful night, and a blessed Christmas Season! :-)

24 Weeks Down

How Far Along: 24 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 20 Pounds, but my last appointment I gained only 5 pounds :)

Sleep: I get a lot some nights, then I get very little other nights. I toss and turn a lot.

Gender: Oh it's my little Man! :)

Food Cravings: None this week. :D Which is Great!

Labor Signs: Nope, I have had some cramping, but doctor said not to worry unless it's more then 6 in an hour. If I cramp, get off my feet, drink water and take deep breaths :) But I haven't had anything really bad. :)

Belly button: Innie! :) I hope it stays that way since i still have a small tummy. :D

Best Moment this week: Feeling more and more movement. Matthew feeling my belly to see if he can feel him move, and Matthew talking to him in silly ways. It's so cute! I love it.

What are you looking forward to this week? I would have to say, I'm hoping Matthew gets to feel him move on the outside this week. That would just be awesome for him to feel that. Since everyone is different, and I did start out heavier then my friends I'm not going to let it bug me that they can feel their baby on the outside. But if Matthew could feel Elijah move on the outside, it would make my week.

What do you miss the Most? I would have to say not having back pain, and my hands not being so swollen. I haven't been able to wear my wedding rings in almost a week now, and it breaks my heart. I've been in flip flops so if my feet are swollen I wouldn't really know.

Weekly Wisdom: Talk to your baby, rub your tummy as much as you can, and have a soda once a week. :) Let your baby know you love him/her. Let them hear you tell them at least 3 times a day, I do it more, but talk to your baby as often as you can. Do things that you can show your baby you did for them, write them a letter, write them a song, poem, make a blanket, hat, or little shoes. They will love and appreciate it when they are older more then you think.

This week has been pretty good. Matthew and I toured the hospital. I've been really emotional this week though. I've cried almost every signal day! I have to say it's all worth it. When I feel Elijah moving around, it makes me think he's so happy, and content with his life inside me. I've been trying to drink more and more water. Next week (Monday) I'm cutting out all the sweets. No more soda, which I haven't had a soda in almost a week anyways. But no more cookies, brownies, chips, nothing. I want to pass my glucose test so bad. I don't want to have to prick my finger, I wouldn't be able to. I don't want to take pills or give myself shots, once again I wouldn't be able too. So, Matthew is going to help me keep myself accountable, no more sweets. I don't think it will be too hard, but I could be wrong. I guess we will see. I'll be doing my glucose test sometime around 26 weeks. I'm so scared, which I always am when it comes to getting my blood drawn, I can't wait to get out of that, I make such a big deal, then it sometimes turns out to be the easiest thing ever. I'll just make sure Clayton is there. lol! Well I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.

Don't take the day for granted, for it could be your last.

Appointment update :)

I had my "24" week appointment today, and I learned a lot from it. Like my uterus is really high. I thought it was lower then it really is. I'm measuring at 25 weeks, although I'm only 23 weeks and 4 days, as of today. I've only gained 5 pounds in a month, which may not be good, but it's less then what I've been gaining. My next appointment will be my last 4 week appointment. After that one I'll get one every two weeks, which means I'm getting closer and closer. Getting excited!! My glucose test is coming up. She went ahead and gave me my lad sheet, so I can set up my own date. She said to wait til at least 26 weeks, so i might just go on my 26 week day..I've felt a little more movement then I used too, and my midwife told me it's still early, not to
stress out about it.

Matthew and I also toured the OB Floor at the hospital. It was only the second time we've been in the hospital. It was really small, and cute, but the thing that got me was how small it was. The laboring tubs looked really nice though. The staff was really nice and was happy to give me the tour. Matthew liked it, and said, well it's small because they are here to do there job, and that's it. They get a lot of military, but of course they do, this town is mostly military. But, we are going to go to the next big town over for our birthing classes, they are free, and I've heard they do a great job.

Well Matthew is working 5pm-5am this week and I don't think he already likes it. It's weird having him here during the day. But I'm not going to complain. He's talking to Elijah more, and still can't wait to feel him move. He's so excited for that. Matthew will also be setting up the crib, dresser, and changing table this week. I can't wait. Well that's all I can blog about tonight. I have a dinner date with two of my girlfriends.

Everyone have a great night, and enjoy your time with friends and family, you never know when it's the last time you get to see them.
