Baby Love

I love being pregnant. Yes, there are some things I don't like, but overall, I'm enjoying being pregnant. I love feeling him move around all the time, and I love that Matthew is learning more about it. :) Well, I said the next post I do is going to have some pictures from the beginning of my pregnancy, so what I did was this.....

I hope you enjoy looking at that. :) I know i do. I see a big difference on how i've grown. I love it. My baby shower is this Saturday between 2-4pm, mynext appointment is Aug 3, and my inlaws come in on Aug 5. I have a lot to do between now and then. Lots of cleaning, and rearranging, but i'm excited to see them and to have a nice weekend with them.
Matthew and I found a drive in this past weekend, and saw Salt and Grown Ups. Never heard of Salt, but it was good. Grown Ups was great. Being at a drive in was awesome! We had never been before and saw it going down the highway and turned around and went to it. I tell you, Matthew and I had an overall great weekend. We've seem to be getting closer, and I love it! I don't know what I would do without my husband. He's my rock, and I lean on him all the time! lol!
I'll be 29 weeks on Thursday which means only 11 more weeks. I can't believe it! I'm super excited and I think I'm almost completly ready! I can't wait to see how I'm going to act while labor and delivery. ;) There will be pictures, so everyone can see how I acted. :)

Third Trimester = 13 More Weeks

How Far Along: 27 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 24 lbs, don't remind me.. ugh!

Maternity Clothes: Oh yes!! They are so comfy!

Sleep: Well lets just say it's horrible some nights and others aren't so bad. It takes me a while to get comfy, and sometimes I can't get somfy. :/

Best Moment This Week: Probably my pictures, oh and then going bowling with my friends, that was pretty fun too!

Movement: He's always moving!! His feet are up always up by my ribs. I love feeling him kick me. It doesn't hurt me at all. I also feel him, maybe his fingers down by my bladder. And I love feeling him toss, turn and flip around in my tummy! It feels awesome!!!

Gender: Oh, Matthew and I are super excited to start out with a boy!

Labor Signs: Praise God no! I don't know what Braxton Kicks feel like, but I don't think I've felt them!

Belly Button: I still have my whole! I'm still an innie and I think I'll stay that way! :D

What I miss: I miss not having back pain. I don't miss drinking so much soda. I can't even drink a whole one now! I'm so proud of myself!! I miss being able to sleep well without hip or back pain!

Weekly Wisdom: Talk to your baby as much as you can! Spend time enjoying your baby move around. Just have fun with everything. Don't let anything pass you up!

Milestones:  He is now 15 inches long! He's also a little over 2 pounds this week. He has more tastebuds now then he'll have when I give birth. This means he can taste the amniotic fluid when I eat different foods, he may even react to it. Also, his nostrils are opening up and it means he can pratice inhaling and exhaling. He will now be measured from head to toe instead of crown to rump. He seems to be growing so well! :)

I still don't have cravings and thats ok with me. I will want something maybe one day but the next day it can look or taste awful. I still cry about almost anything. If I'm upset I will cry. I think Matthew feels horrible, because he'll get on to me about something and I'll break out into tears sometimes. I've always been super sensitve, but not like this. I've become more blunt since I got pregnant, but that and the emotional change are about the only things that have changed. I still love the same man, but love him so much more. I love looking down at my tummy and watching it move. I love thinking about my son, and thinking of what he'll look like. If he will happen to have red hair and blue eyes, or if he will take after mommy and daddy's hair with blonde hair and blue eyes. As much as I think of this I don't care what he'll look like. He will always be my handsome little man. (as my dad calls him, Little Man)

Yesterday was my 27 Week photo shoot. What I will do is put up a few of those pictures and then my next post will be pictures from my first photo shoot to yesterday's. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I think Melody did a great job. Hope you do too!

Never Let Your Praying Knee's Get Lazy....

Last night Matthew really surprised me, and came upstairs with our couples devotion. It was awesome! We prayed together and had a great discussion! It was just awesome!

But this song is song is one that I've loved since I first heard it and I think that everyone will love it. It's a country song, but it's just perfect. You should listen to it... Love like Crazy

Well today I put some things on Elijah's wall today! It looks so great, I can't wait to put pictures up! His room is coming along so great! Baby shower is in two weeks. My friends keep telling me it's going to be great. She's not telling me much about the baby shower, which is fine with me, I love surprises! My mom is sending a box out for Elijah on Friday. My Nana is supposed to send out a money order at the beginning of Aug. Matthew's parents are supposed to come out at the beginning of Aug to bring a lot of things too. It's super exciting!

Matthew and I are getting closer already. Doing our devotion every night now, praying together, and having a great time. We pray for our son, and our marriage. Love can do amazing things! God can do amazing things!!

Sorry for this being so short but I really have nothing to write.. Hope you enjoy. I'll try to do this more often...again.. Have a great day

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord!!!

Livin' on Love

A while ago, in 2006 there was a guy, and his name was Matthew and a girl named Amanda. These two met up at work, at the Waffle House. They talked and got to know one another for three months. After those three months he asked her to be his girl friend, and since she was head over heels for this guy, she didn't hesitate to say no. Matthew was 21 and Amanda was 16. Yes, they knew what risk they were running but only after a few months of dating they knew they were in love. All she could talk about in school was the guy she dated, and the only person she wanted to talk to when she wasn't in school was that wonderful guy. In May of that year she turned 17 and thought she could rule her own world. Little to her knowledge her daddy didn't want his baby girl to be hurt, and saw that she was trying to get a little too big for her pants. So, he tried to do everything in his power to get these two love birds apart. He took her phone away, got her transferred to another Waffle House, wouldn't let them see one another. Her mom threatened him with a restraining order. But much to there dismay the couple found ways to see one another, to talk to one another, and even had a notebook they would write in and get to one another, if that meant he had to go to her school and give it to her, and get it from her. They were in love. One one could get this couple to see how crazy they were being.
In Aug of 2007 the couple has talked and was tired of how the parents were punishing the girl. I think even if the parents look back on the way they punished the girl they might rule it as being a little to harsh. The girl would get in trouble for little, stupid things. Her punishment would be worse. Having to go outside all day and work in the hot, steamy Georgia sun. Got so sunburn she couldn't have anyone touch her, and she would cry because it hurt so bad. The guy got so steamed and mad at her parents for treating her this way. They made the girl buy her own clothes, pay rent, and give her mom gas money, which I must have to say was pretty hard. Since all did was waitress. She only got waitress pay, which was like $2.60 something and got her tips. It was really had for the girl to pay her "rent" which was $65 a week and pay for all her school items. She was very upset with her parents, and one day her and the guy was talking, while he was taking her to work and decided to get married. They didn't know when, how, or where, but they wanted her out of her parents house. So she got to work and the manager said he didn't need her, so she called her mom and asked her if she could go to Matthew's house til later that night since her dad thought she was working, her mom said yes. So the couple was on the way to the guys house. They got about half way there and her mom called fussing at her because she left the house super early, and told the girl to get home asap, and that she was in trouble. The girl broke down into tears because she has no idea why she was in trouble, and didn't understand why she would be in trouble. The guy got so mad at that point. The girl asked the guy not to leave her when she got home, because her parents always made him leave. (Her parents were always trying to tell the guy what a bad girl she was, and how she acted so immature when they tried to punish her, but they never let him see) The girl was scared to go home, and the guy saw the fear in her eyes and tried to calm her. They talked more about getting married, and she told him, if she asked her dad when they dropped her off at home to marry her, her dad might see how mature he was and say yes. As he calmed the girl and tried to reassure her he wouldn't leave her, they creeped up on her house. The girl's stomach dropped to the bottom of the car, and just didn't like how she felt. They went out to the back yard where she knew her dad was, of course the dad looked at Matthew and said, "Matt, I think you need to leave, I don't think you want to see this." Matthew spoke up and challenged him. Matthew said he wanted to stay and told him he didn't want to leave the girl. He didn't understand why the girl was in trouble. The dad said he needed to leave and didn't need to understand. Matthew still challenged the dad and told him if he didn't want to leave the girl, that he loved her. Then he looked the dad in the eye and said, " Mr. Eddie, I would like to ask you, to take your daughter's hand in marriage." The dad laughed, and the guy and the dad argued for a while, and finally the dad looked at his daughter and said, "So you think you are old enough to get married?" And the daughter said, "Yes, sir." So he said, "Ok, well you can get out of my house." So the guy never left the girl's side and helped her get all the things they could into his car, including the girl's dog. They had no idea this would end up this way, but it did. The girl shortly moved in with her uncle and thought things would be better, they were for a little bit, but they just knew if they got married everything would be better.
Three months passed while she would live with her uncle. The guy became a truck driver, and God made it very possible for the guy and the girl to get married. They knew it was God because how everything played out. They felt very blessed. Although they didn't have a big wedding, she didn't have a white dress, there was no cake, only a handful of people came, but they were able to become one. A little less then two years later he went into the Air Force, on there two year Anniversary he was in Tech School, And on Feb 14, 2010 they found out they were expecting there first baby. They were very happy. In March of 2010 they moved to Missouri, which is very far away from there home. They are very happy, and couldn't want more. They love one another and are about to be married for 3 years. They have learned a lot from one another, taught one another a lot, and God has showed both of them how to love one another. They have had there moments, but they know they will never divorce. There marriage hasn't been the best, but they have one another and they have love. They know they have friends and family that wont let them give up on one another.

This couple is Matthew and Amanda Flippen. They became one on Nov 10, 2007!!

Oh the Joy's of Thinking

I love the way I think sometimes.

I can't help to think of how our baby is going to look. How it's going to feel when I hold him. How I'm going to look after giving birth. How Matthew is going to react when our son is here. How Elijah's room is going to really turn out to look.

I also can't wait just to hold our son. Everytime I feel him move around I just want to hold him and put him in my arms. So, I know since i feel that way already I can't wait to see how I'll feel when he's actually here in the flesh. I know it's going to be different in the house, and our lives will be forever changed, but I'm looking at it as a good change.

I've always wanted to have kids, and always wanted to be married, but to be honest when I was growing up I never thought it would happen. Now that I've been married for almost 3 years and I have a baby growing and moving inside of me. Which just makes me feel awesome!

My husband, Matthew, just loves the fact that he can feel his son move around. He talks to him all the time, tells him goodnight. Matthew also rubs my tummy down with loction at night, and while he does that he talks to Elijah. It's so nice!! Matthew has just fell in love with his son, and I know he can't wait til he's here.

I've been thinking of what he's going to call My mom and dad and Matthew's mom and dad. Since my mom and dad have grandkids, they call them nana, and pawpaw. But Matthew's mom and dad don't have any grandkids and it's going to be intresting. I've been trying to think of names but haven't came up with anything yet. When I talk to Elijah about my mom and dad I say, " Nana and pawpaw love you and can't wait to see you."

I just love to think of how things are going to be, and wanted to share that with you :)

I have been blessed

I couldn't ask for more... I have a beautiful house, that we don't have to pay for, a car that still runs, praise God, a husband who works to keep the bills paid for, a baby boy growing inside of me, food in my house, clothes to wear family that cares, friends that have turned into family... I just have been blessed.

I know this seems like what most people have, and I'm happy that if you are reading this and you have all this and more, thats awesome for you. Matthew and I have really worked our butts off to get most of the things we have. Yes, we have been given a lot of things, and we thank God for that, and the people that have given the things to us. I mean for Elijah, we've been given a lot of clothes, a few toys, and I have a baby shower coming up and I know that those who are coming are going to bless me and my baby with wonderful things. And I can't wait!

A life as a married couple has come very hard for Matthew and myself. We barely saw one another when we first got Married, then I went on the truck with him for about 4 months, then didn't see him for almost 2 months, then we worked at the same place but at one point had different schedules, so once again didn't see each other. We had to email one another in order to talk to one another. Then he left for BMT, gone for 8.5 weeks then I went to graduation, and most of you know I don't like to think of how that went. We had only 3 or 4 hours of alone time and at that point we've been married for almost 2 years. So I was so upset by that point and just decided on my own, well with some input from Matthew to move to TX with him, which most of you know I said was a horrible choice in the end, but like I told Matthew last night, if I wouldn't have moved we wouldn't be expecting this wonderful bundle of joy and I wouldn't have learned so much about myself while I was there. No, I didn't see him everyday, No he didn't spend the night every weekend. It was not sugar and roses while I was there, but we learned about each other in a way that we had never before. Now we are here, in MO. And we are still learning one another. Still trying to adjust to how each other was raised, taught, and how each other think. We have gotten a long way now that we are far away from family, and I thank God for that. But, it's still hard to adjust.
But God has helped us along the way. He has always been here for us. Putting people in our path to help us, showing us ways to help one another. I have to give God the credit for everything wonderful that has happened in our marriage. This is way I've been so blessed.
Things are slowly coming together, and things are starting to feel like a "normal marriage" But I know it will never be "normal" there is no such thing are normal in the military, or being my age and being married for almost 3 years. Some people think I'm crazy for being married, but I think that since God showed me my true love at such an early age, why wait? I know that we have familly and friends who will not let our marriage fail, and we have each other, who refuses to divorce thats just one thing we don't believe in, and we will do whatever it takes to make our marriage work.
We love one another, we love our son and it would kill us to see him have to suffer through something so horrible. Elijah may not be here in flesh form yet, but Matthew and I have so much love for him already! I never thought I would ever be able to love someone so much that I've never even seen, and here I am already spoiling our son and giving him so much love.

I hope that this isn't as scambled as I think it is. I hope that you all understand what I'm trying to say. I love my husband and even through our fights and mis-understandings I would never think to leave him. I love our son and could never put him through something so horrible. God has blessed my husband and I, and I want to see us make it through the rough times and be happy and laugh through the good times :)
